What cookies and browser storage do

Phytovive Inc. uses cookies and local storage to provide shopping, sign-in and reading features. Cookies can be sent back to the site with a request; local storage stays in your browser until the site or browser removes it. Some records contain a sign-in token, while others contain a setting or shopping selection.

Sign-in cookies

• __Host-pv_session: Keeps you signed in to the practitioner library or the team library using an opaque session token; we store only a hash of it. Your account and the libraries it opens are checked on every protected request. Duration: Up to 90 days, or 12 hours for administrators. The session ends sooner after 30 days without use (an hour for administrators), on sign-out or on revocation, even if the cookie remains in your browser.
• __Host-pv_challenge: Links a sign-in code to the browser that asked for it, so the code is useless in any other browser. It cannot authorise access by itself. Duration: 10 minutes; cleared when you sign in.

These cookies apply only to this host and use the site's root path. They are not available to page scripts and are sent only over secure connections. They are not advertising cookies.

Local storage

• pv-cart-v1: Remembers selected products, purchase mode and quantity so the cart survives navigation and stays consistent between tabs. No payment-card data is stored here. Duration: No fixed automatic expiry; changes with the cart or when you clear site data.
• pv_launch_seen_v3: Remembers that you dismissed the launch pop-up. Duration: No fixed automatic expiry; remains until removed by you, the browser or the site.
• pv-depth, pv-audience: Remember the reading settings selected in the team library. Duration: Until removed by you or the browser; no fixed automatic expiry.
• pv-commerce-preview: Remembers an explicit local commerce-preview choice before shopping is enabled for everyone. It is not needed when shopping is enabled publicly. Duration: Until preview is switched off or site data is cleared; no fixed automatic expiry.

Local storage is specific to the browser and site. It does not give another site access to your library account.

Other services and tracking

This site does not embed Google Analytics, the Meta pixel or a Shopify Collabs tracking SDK. Newsletter sign-ups are sent directly from your browser to Klaviyo using its subscription API. The form does not embed Klaviyo's onsite tracking script.

Shopify checkout, customer accounts and Collabs run on Shopify rather than on this website, and Shopify may set its own cookies on those pages; Shopify describes those cookies in its own notices. If you use a Collabs referral link or discount code, Shopify may record the referral so the programme can attribute the purchase; this website adds no referral tracking of its own.

If we introduce tracking or other storage that requires consent, we will explain it and obtain consent before using it. We will update this inventory when the storage we use changes.

Your choices

You can clear this site's cookies and local storage through your browser's site-data controls. This may empty your cart, reset preferences and sign you out. You can change the team library's reading settings within that library. The practitioner library and the team library each have a sign-out control; use it when you finish using your account. Blocking storage can prevent sign-in and shopping features from working.

Marketing email preferences are separate from cookies. You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email. Having a library account does not subscribe you to marketing.
